Defence for Children International the Netherlands gives information on the rights of the child as described in the International Convention on the Rights of the Child. Employees of Defence for Children International give readings and presentations to interested people. These can be lawyers, doctors, teachers, youth care workers, but also students from the primary or secondary education and university.

Defence for Children International also provides information on the way the Dutch government carries out the Convention on the Rights of the Child and Defence for Children International does lobby at the government to improve the child right situation.


Lobby

Keeping track of Dutch and European decision-making forms the basis for each professional lobby. Defence for Children International closely follows the political discussions and decisions and tries to influence local, national and European policy to make sure that the interests of children are being considered. When as the rights of children and young people are violated, Defence for Children International comes into action.
