ECPAT-NL works closely with organisations in the Netherlands and internationally that are active against sexual abuse and exploitation of children (governmental, intergovernmental, non-governmental and commercial organizations).

ECPAT-NL exists since 1995 and as of 2003 is a cooperative with Defence for Children International the Netherlands.

ECPAT-NL is financially supported by Stichting Kinderpostzegels Nederland, Plan Nederland, Unicef en Kerkinactie. 

Since 31th of August 2009 ECPAT is working together with The Body Shop in a three year global campaign "Stop sex trafficking of children and young people." The campaign has three main objectives to stop the sex trafficking of children and young people:
- To inspire long-term change and mobilise concrete action against child sex trafficking.
- To ensure that our global voice is heard by all, particularly those with power to make the changes needed to protect children and young people around the world.
- To contribute to fund prevention and awareness programmes for children and young people at risk and bring immediate relief to young victims of sex trafficking.
